should take this easily. He looked unbeatable at districts and just walked away
from Kensington. Who is a 4:15 miler. Capriotti is the only guy I think who
could challenge, but he looked pretty average at districts.

looked really good at districts. Beat most of the top ranked guys in the state
including jtrain’s boy Capriotti and proved he’s healthy after sitting out
conferences

about team title predictions? I think Coatesville is probably the favorite, but
anyone else worth watching?

Coatesville
will win, assuming they don’t choke. Capriotti might win too. I heard his
coaches told him not to sprint down the last straightaway at districts to
conserve for states.

No way. Freshman bomb at Hershey. They can’t handle the big stage. You gotta
look at juniors and seniors for like 90% of the spots and then maybe a couple
sophomores.

anyone at the meet right now? I heard the weather is absolute crap. Lots of
rain and the course is a mess. Will they reschedule? It seems kinda dangerous.

The PAL
doesn’t reschedule these sort of things. Too much money and effort for those
fat cats to care. As long as there is no lightening, they’ll just try and power
through all the races.

Lots of
slipping and falling in the girls race. It’s going to be wild for the large
school guys. The course is torn up and super sloppy. Wouldn’t be surprised if
someone unexpected wins this one just because the weather will take out some
favorites.

will struggle in the rain. Everyone knows Kenyans don’t like rain. The winner
will be Peter Bosse of McDowell. Kid’s a Bosse!

Don’t
feed the troll Citius. He’s just a random district 10 kid. Doesn’t race any of
the big names like all season. Won’t be a factor today.

luck to Conestoga Valley out of the Lebanon Lancaster League. I’ve been
following that league closely for years and this is one of our best teams in
recent years. Ken Weaver is their front runner and should be a state medalist.

I don’t
know why people keep picking non-District One teams. District One always wins
at states. They’ll have the individual and team champions. Surprised Power
isn’t anyone’s pick to win after his awesome district performance. I also like
jtrain’s Fisher pick. He was second overall at Pre-States where Union Valley
edged out the team win against Bonner. Gives him and his team an extra edge on
this course.

Don’t
sleep on Bonner in the team title race. They have a really strong pack that
could surprise. Individually, I normally would pick Kipruto, but under these
conditions, I don’t see it. Maybe the Union Valley kid can pull the upset.

Race is
off! Kipruto in the lead early and Capriotti following! They’ve got a pretty
decent gap on the field already. Looks like CB West, Pittsburgh something and
some other school I don’t recognize are leading the chase pack. Coatesville has
a lot of guys up front, Cumberland Valley got out pretty well too.

FWIW
looks like twitter has some updated splits through the mile. Coatesville with
90 points is leading, but Union Valley has 101 and is a tight second! Fisher is
in 7th and their top 5 are in the top 60.

#3. If he hangs on, they will win big.

really packing up near two miles. The wind is making it so no one wants to lead.
Kipruto out all by himself now. Could end up pulling away.

move just made by the Union Valley kid! I don’t think it was Fisher either, I
think it was that freshman. He just went all out up the hill and a bunch of guys
slipped in the mud. Looks like Teague from CB West fell hard. He was in the
lead pack.

came off the final hill with a decent lead, but Fitzgerald, Capriotti and a
Conestoga Valley kid were sprinting super hard after him. It looked like they
were going to catch him and then all of a sudden Springer just found one more
gear and somehow got to the line first.

put all five of their guys in the top 50 overall. Leslie finished 137th
and Kyle King (freshman) ended up being Coatesville’s #5. I’m next to a couple
of the team tents now. The Coatsville guys seem shocked.

freshman win states! How good is this Jimmy Springer kid going to be by the
time he’s a senior? National champion? Olympian?
